“Don’t spit and trash me, believe, I too belong to you”- I am the Road

City LifeI quote “My beliefs will run through everything I do. My beliefs, my values are my anchor and when people try to drag me, as I know they will, it is to that sense of right and wrong, that sense of who I am and what I believe, to which I will always hold.” Ed Miliband.

Here today I want to talk about a striking contrast concept, invisible to the conscious mind. The role our beliefs and our Indian values play in shaping the face of our cities, towns, roads, and our villages. Ever wondered why can’t India have beautiful sparkling spotless clean cities, towns and villages? I believe it has to do a lot with our morals and values which hold within.

The above quote is so relevant, our beliefs shape our destiny and shapes each and every decision we undertake. And more interestingly the common beliefs of the society, community and the country will shape the destiny of the society. The common belief defines the way the country thinks, behave and works together. It surprisingly also plays an important role and controls the subconscious decisions in how our cities, towns and villages will look, how well our roads and dams will be constructed and maintained.

In a country like India, spirituality and religion dominates in shaping our beliefs and values. Some Indians may argue that they are not religiously inclined or spiritual headed. However living in an environment of religiously bended society, ideas and thoughts do get moulded beyond one’s control and knowledge.

So, let me explain how I am trying to join the elements of spirituality and the state of infrastructure our country .

Most religious and spiritual sects in India talks about happiness and tranquility of the inner self. Focusing and looking inwards is defined as a path to accomplish all material and immaterial happiness in the universe. The belief defines that the universe exists with you, and the is nothing outside, which the mind wanders for. We clearly can find this belief ingrained in a large number of population residing throughout the lengths and the breaths of the country.

This is idea is an incredible thought and provides limitless strength to individuals. Also in many occasions in the history, inner self focus belief has proven to be instrumental in drawing the country out of misery and depression.

However there is flip side to the idea, and as mentioned earlier beliefs run through everything that we do. As we (Indians) are “inward looking beings” our energies and minds are focused on the insides not the outsides structures of our country. Our conscious and the sub conscious mind owns the inside of the house and disowns the road on which the grand building is monumented.

The nation on the outside is like an overflowing bin, where you find rotten bits of leftover food lying on the pavements, incomplete and open drainage work waiting for months to be finished. Citizens defecating on the roads, buildings or any where they choose to.

However inside each house you will find  beautiful carved welcoming doors,  creeping staircase flowing through the house, elegant big windows where natural light sweeps in, Enchanting designs and painting on the walls to swipe the senses away, antique wooden sculptures laid in. Every house displays creativity, innovation and design. The house of any middle class household or higher talks about the taste and flavours of life of the people residing in that house.

Malls and shopping arcades are built with perfect specs to offer a visual treat to the eyes, inside offer luxurious multi- expensive products from around the globe. but stand on filthily roads on the outside.

Yes, we have a keen liking for cleanliness and beauty but it only limits to our defined boundaries.

Therefore unfortunately the road and the areas beyond our belief  boundaries belong to someone else the king, the monarch, the municipality, the government or maybe NOBODY. The outside is brutally treated and trashed, spitted and abused. Everyone living in the society disowns the road that we live in, the road that we drive on everyday to work. People treat their office, their school, college, or gym as their shrine and that’s where it ends. Nobody cares about everybody’s land the “Road!!”.  And the poor, disowned, barbarically used “road” stood for years and is still waiting to be owned by its citizens someday.

We can’t achieve a beautiful outdoors by waiting for the government to set up “Clean India Movement” and wait for a day to see some people employed to clean the road only to see it trashed up again, we need to alter our belief system by linking the outside of our houses the public parks, parking lots, roads to our own environment in our minds first.

We need to link the outdoors as something equally important to us think it as our own and start paying attention to it poor state, start believing that the road which bears my house, office, shop also belongs to me. And it is not just something broken inside my house which draws attention and needs to be fixed but also the broken road and open sewer needs to be looked after by me.

Big problem, Creative solutions, let’s keep sending our children to school

Every child has a story to share a song to sing. Whenever I look into their innocent eyes, I see fairytales of the future. On one such day, I narrate the songs in the little child’s eyes.

Childhood the blissful years of my life.

All I need is a big bright smile.

I jump, lay and run all day long, singing the merry go round song.

My days go by running in the meadows, hunting wild butterflies.

My favourite, is playing silly peekaboos.

Up I go in the slide trying to reach the sky.

Chasing my dreams, wearing mom’s high heels.

I walk to my school jumping in a messy water pool.

But, as soon I walk down the streets, on my way to work, I see a huge population living on the edge of the street. These people look different, we live in the same time zone yet it looks, like they live in a different decades. There are kids who are not going to school, working hard to make ends meet. I peep into these young eyes. I see a different story.

I am young, I believe I am small.

I wonder, if I really have to be in a big long factory hall.

I work all day long, in the dark tarnished room.

My heart cries for one last game of peekaboo.

If I could get a chance, out in the meadows running behind the butterflies.

Sitting under the sunshine, glancing at my soar hands and looking up in the sky.

I wonder, will I be a little child? For I was grown up even before I was five.

Dear heavenly father, if you could grant me a wish, grant me I should go back to school.

These little eyes said the same story every day and pierced my heart every time I cross pass ways with them. So, one day for my heart’s peace, I found myself talking to the children’s parents and trying to encourage them to send their kids to school and if could save even one small life from being ripped into the vicious cycle of labor and pain. I was surprised to know, a lot of them are keen on making their kids educated and ensure a good life for them. However, many of them complained that when they sent their kids to school, children ended up falling sick very often and ultimately didn’t go to school.

I wanted to learn more about this and inquired with a friend of mine, who teaches in a local government school. I couldn’t believe my ears for the reasons I discovered for children not going to school. It seemed so irrelevant to hear, but it had a huge impact. As children play, learn and write with white chalks at school. And class time is followed by meal times with no proper hand wash routine for little children. Pre-meal hand wash means only a quick rinse under the water, many children at times also tend to miss out on the rinse before eating.

And along with their meals at school little children end up eating the germ’s and fall sick.

And parents find it very difficult to keep up the medical expenses.

A truly disheartening fate for the future generation. The blossoming children are robbed their childhood only because of an incomplete hand wash!! After having known the reasons of dismay for children on the streets, on my way back I was still drowned in their thoughts and to looks for answer I started browsing my phone. Something struck my eyes, I came across a quote on creativity which said

”Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected” – William Plomer.

These lines seemed to me as an answer to all my mingling thoughts. I felt innovation, intellect and creativity can help us solve stagnant and hideous challenges.

And as I reached home, I switched on my laptop and still looking for a solution I came across a video and learnt about the Savlon Healthy Chalk Sticks introduced by Savlon. After using the chalk stick, the chalk powder left behind on the hands turns into a foam cleanser. Since, there is chalk powder on the hands, a child rushes to wash his hands hurriedly, but when he watches the chalk powder turn into soap like cleanser, he rubs the soap thoroughly before rinsing it off.

This is an innovative invention to teach a child the importance of basic hygiene of washing hands.’

I felt, I felt so happy and fortunate as the Savlon Healthy Chalk Sticks, seemed to be just the creative solution to the issues of the children’s health in schools and answers that I had been looking for days now.

After watching this video I also was assured and satisfied to know that there are many people worried and taking action to ensure to send the street kids to school so that these young people can cherish their childhood.

Defer judgements, make space for creativity

hey

Has this ever happened to you, you are stuck in a traffic or travelling in busy train, you look out of window and from no where, a tiny little idea jumps in your mind.

“I could  make a system to smooth the traffic” – response ” No its not your job.”

“Let me try to make a solar gadget”- response “Na, Na it won’t work, don’t waste your time”.

“Let me draw a sketch of the beautiful garden”- response “No it is a rubbish though. You think you are an artist”

What do you think would have happened to these sprouting ideas which were responded with “No it is not your job”   “It won’t work!”, “No you aren’t an artist”.

Yes!! they will fade away, washed away from memory.

whoever experiences such a situation, has not only got rid of a so called silly thought but the world has also lost a budding architect, an outstanding engineering and a famous painter in the dusk of no where. And the world continues to lose  many more brilliant innovators and pioneers whose tiny ideas are responded with a “No”.

Let’s try to work and understand who is judging the world. Who stomped the budding architect? Who crushed the outstanding engineer? The artist?

Who do you think it is?  your boss? or your partner? No, look in the  mirror and you will spot the most powerful person who can possibly stop you. Yes it is none other than yourself. We stop ourselves and kill our creativity.

It is your very own conscious, regulated disciplined and very tactful brain. An Adult human brain which is equipped to scan sort and trash information in everyday life.

But wait a minute! Mr. disciplined and tactful brain, you ability to process information is speeding up and your scanning and sorting is not only also crumbing  unwanted information, but also my special gift, my Creativity!!

“It is not that I’m so smart. But I stay with the questions much longer.”
Albert Einstein

People all around the globe have such amazing big and small ideas and creative solutions to change the world. It is creativity and intellect which  has shaped and changed the world for a better living. Every day innovative solutions to stagnant issues continues to change the world. And not revolt or blood shed which the masses may believe brings a change. A sapling of a new idea, to do things differently.

As much as we know about the power of creativity, we also know sometimes, unfortunately curiosity and stupidity are confused. And because of this arises the fear of rejection. Therefore most ideas don’t even make it to the lime light. So many wonderful ideas lay buried in our minds. And fade away in darkness. Only because we judge ourselves and stop ourselves from venturing into unknown.

Saying a definite “NO” kills the idea and make us move on with day to day life. But saying a “Yes” is a risky area to be for most of us. It certainly does makes space for ideas to grow, but it may lead to a mental battle. What if things don’t work out, the way we plan? What if, one is looked down upon?   and many more.

In such a tossing situation, what could be possibly done? Well a possible solution could be respond to your ideas with a  “Maybe”.  Maybe I can try this new idea, maybe it might work for me.

Maybe, is a safe place to be you see, where you don’t have to engage in the painful battle with your fears and doubts. Maybe, allows space for the creativity to breath a little, spread and grow and sprout out beautifully. “Maybe” could be your best tool to defer your judgement.

Next time before you are scanning, sorting and trashing ideas tell yourself “maybe I must slow down a little, maybe these ideas stand a chance to be tried”. And who knows it might turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you.

Wait a little, slide into the skin of the child inside you, who is fearless, experimental and very curious. Open up to the world of possibilities, maybe its worth trying.

5 basics of effective learning

Learning is an inevitable activity which starts right from birth. Active or passive we are always absorbing information and learning from our environment. Learning maintains an ever rising curve and happens throughout our lives.

We learn new things from people, places, experiences. Anything and everything we come in contact with, leaves an impression on our minds. The ideas or concepts we learn are sometimes pleasing sometimes confusing and sometimes very important and useful.

To keep up with the pace of the modern world it has become absolute necessary to learn and retain information is at a rapid pace. The human brain is processing exponential information like never before. Pick any activity to learn cook, to learn to drive, to learn to play music, to learn to make friends every time the mind is looking for effortless and successful ways of learning. Knowledge is the key to a successful happy life and learning is the door to the ocean of knowledge.

Below are outlined the 5 basics of effective and easy learnings.

1. Ensure happiness through out the learning period.

For a mind to learn and retain new concepts happiness is the key ingredient. Do not stress to learn or understand a particular concept. Remember if you are unhappy, or at discomfort or just in low spirits, then there is no productive learning taking place. Understand that the concept or subject is not being well received by the mind. learning a concept on an unhappy stressed mind is like trashing it. Teachers and mentors must always be mindful of happiness in their sessions and be creative and tactful wherever needed to ensure a successful transfer of knowledge.

2. Plan breaks or intervals:

Allocating sufficient time for breaks and intervals is vital for effective learning, breaks and time offs  helps to successfully grasp and retain the new concept. Not only plan only plan for learning time, and steps and procedures but also space time for post learning relaxation time. Relaxation time helps to detox the mind and remove the unwanted information collected in the learning session. It  refreshes the minds. Gives time for the new concept to retain in mind. Breaks help in building motivation to learn more.

3. Repeat the same concept over and over again:

Irrespective of the discipline be it sports, music, or academic repetition is unavoidable. Reading the same text, playing the same cord or practising a brush stroke over several days have immense advantages. It helps to build and lay down the foundation in the mind to learn the new discipline. It also helps strengthening the memory patterns and shifting the concept from short term memory to long term memory. Emphasising a concept for hours in a day and not revisiting again next day will, just go down the drain.

4. Recall or ask questions:

To understand and evaluate how far a concept is understood it is very important to allocate time for recall in the learning session. Active recall by asking questions helps to engage the mind in newly learnt concept and leave impressions on the mind. It helps to sustain the learning for a longer period of time. Recall helps to identify parts of the discipline which were are not understood in the recent learning session.

5. Eliminate procrastination:

Learning new concepts and discipline mostly activates pain and discomfort in the mind as it seems an unfamiliar task for the mind to perform. Most people procrastinate or give excuses to learn something absolute new or that seem alien to them.

Pain or discomfort generated by learning a new unfamiliar concept can be eliminated by convincing the mind that boring task is only going to last for a pre decided time or couple of minutes. And  they are required to give their best only for these couple of minutes. For the  limited time just focus on the steps involved in doing that task  rather than focusing on the output. The output could be defined as a particular music note, the standard of handwriting,  reading number of pages of a text book.

Focusing on the steps involved in doing the boring task rather than the output is hyper productive. Engage the mind to work on the unpleasant task  for a couple of minutes to establish comfortability with the difficult task. Gradually the pre decided times can be increased and slowly you can work your way to the output.

There is no quick fix, to a problem is there any?

Fixing_Leadership_Skills

There are times, when we want change to happen and we want it to happen quick and fix all the issues at once.
Let me narrate you a story of understanding of the law of the “Quick Fix” solution and why on earth it never works?
I had a long awaited wedding in my family, and the preparations of the wedding had began from the day the wedding day was decided, everyone was excited and I was getting ready to pick up all our might and lose the extra kilos which I felt that now was the most critical time to lose all the unwanted love handles to look my best.
I had laid out a beautiful Quick Fix plan, as I was super busy at work so I could not find enough time to get good workout, therefore I decided to pick up a crash diet just 2 weeks before the wedding so that I can lose required weight and still look my best, I had a quick fix solution which is rather hard and tiring process in regular days. It  was a dream walk, but no sooner my dreams were turned into a nightmare when just 2 weeks before the wedding the scheduled kick off date of my diet I feel sick and there was nothing I could do to follow the diet, as I was already low on energy and the wedding was so close that I should attend the wedding irrespective if I lose weight or not, the expected still needs to be done. I had to think of a new plan and also start executing one straight away.
I decided to take the usual way out, for weight loss, eat balanced food and workout. I also was lucky that I did cut out on fried and sugary stuff for a month now which was not part of the quick fix solution.

After 4 days of sickness, I was back on my feet and I worked out for 2 hours each day an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening focusing all my energies on reducing my belly fat and my love handles. It was a limited period of intense workouts everyday in the preparations of the D day. And finally on the wedding day after dedicated workouts and eating good balance diet I managed to shed all my unwanted picture spoilers. I wore my attire and flaunted my flat abs and picture perfect body. It was a great accomplishing feeling, yet it was a fearful thought, I was worried no matter how hard I worked out in past few weeks in the intense focused sessions I will still put the unwanted weight. I was worried once the wedding fever is over at things are back to normal I will again land up at the same place from where I started. And each, in the future whenever time there will be a huge event lined up in my life I will have to go through the same rigorous process. That night bouncing between happiness sense of accomplishment and despair for the future, juggling in my thoughts  I cracked the secrets of keeping fit at all times and picture ready for any big or small events. And that was “Todays mess must be cleared before the end of the day today, not over the weekend or before any big event, today, now” and you will never end up in tiring intense workout sessions, you will feel the freedom of living your life without having the image of a trapped chicken, who worries about the few extra kilos every now and then each time a celebration  or a party comes up.
And a week later of picking up this attitude of identifying and clearing up each day’s mess that very day’s mess me realize that my my complains and unsatisfied behaviour about my looks was not because I am at a certain age or any dam reason I give myself, but I had to face it because of my inabilities to identify and distinguish between today’s calories and preexisting weight and all this bigger accumulations made me feel trapped.
So, at the end of the story I wish to outline a point that the failure in a particular task is not because of all the x factors we identify but primary because of the weak task identifying pattern and the kind of negative relationship, behaviour we have towards the said task.

Think of any problem in your life where you consider someone or something else responsible, for your backlog or failure no matter how temporary you Quick fix that issue with intended focused session like house hose clean up by intensive cleaning just before the guest arrives or, weight management where one must be learning about the food and the flaw-full behaviours towards food which leads to being obese and over weight people consider liposuction for weight loss or some magical food for weight loss. Once you Quick fix the issue be prepared for another liposuction next next year.

Or for example people who face debt or financial issues think all they problems will vanish once they a get a refinance or windfall gain, fixing it out by any other borrowing will only make the situations more worse. If one does not learn about money and cashflows and the basic ideas to manage income and expenses, soon in sometime will land up at the same place, because in the quick fix remedy process one does nothing to change the behavioural patterns, setup in ones mind. Once the quick remedy is applied you assume the problem is solved for good and go back to your routine habits which lead you again at the beginning of a similar issue that you fixed sometime ago. In other words you will have to alter your relationship with that task or issue, to avoid a new misery.

Finally any issue that isn’t getting solved over and again is clearly stating that the behavioural patterns which have become a part of the individual’s character, is what needs to be fixed by enhancing learning and identifying loopholes. You need to twist your thinking become innovative and change your routine to tackle the issue that you have cultivated over the years before any concrete changes happen to the issue itself, remember if you want to drop out of the loop of quick fix and problem tackling over and over again. Do not Quick fix.

Why I don’t eat the left over food on the plates of my children

image

For ages we are tough that all our life activities boils down is to have “food”. The highest the greatest form of blessing could be defined, to have 3 meals on your plate. And therefore we are engraved with the idea of never to let food wasted.  And the best respect that could be paid to food would be “All food on a plate must be Eaten!”.

I have lived with this though for ages, however I have started deveating from this though and gone ahead and stopped eating the left over food from the plates of my children and have no carry forward regrets in trashing the left over food and I drain it with great satisfaction and content.
I would like to share the learning that I acquired which helped me achive a milestone change in my behavior.

To understand the idea I am going to talk in the following lines, primarily we need to expand our spectrum and look at the world being inhabited not only by humans but also other species of life like insects, animals, and many other microorganisms.
And then we must now expand the spectrum of the “respect for food” attached which we assume is limited to humans and we blindly over look the existence of any other forms of life.

“All the food on a plate must be eaten!!” But, by someone who is hungry and only then food will be able to fulfill its purpose of satisfying hunger if eaten by someone who is not actually hungry but eats it in an artificial vague to respect it, leads to food not being able to satisfy hunger, but  every over eaten bite of left over food is waste and an extra load on your system.

The food on your child’s plate does not get eaten at the first place because it is deserved by some other form of life actually meant for other microorganisms and insects which also have their share on planet earth.
But humans have overpowered all the other species to an extent that we have assumed that planet earth is inhibited only by the humans and the food on the plate will be disrespected if not eaten by superior race humans.

Lets just stop and think, if the left over food is not trashed how will it stand any chance to reach the hungry and waiting insects and earthen lives which will thrive on this food.
And not to forget to mention, that we also accumulate a curse of eating the left over food as over eating after one has satisfied hunger leads to weight gain which simply means we have overeaten someone else’s share. Someone else here could also be the hungry dragon fly.

Positive approach helps you save millions

image

We often come across various approaches towards life and widely accepted and encouraged approach by various motivational speaker is the positive mindset approach.

Think positive, be calm and approach surroundings with a positive response.

However in some scenarios, the person involved is so deeply engraved by the negatives of the surroundings, no matter how effective the positive approach maybe, the emotional imbalances pull back to the person to behave negatively, and keep falling deeper in the vicious circle.

To workout this challenge of negative surroundings, I have come up with a formula, which helps to calculate the money saved by staying positive in huge negative situation or small hindrance. Therefore one remains totally mindful and motivated to follow the “Stay calm, and carry on” approach “The “90% attitude and 10% environment”. formula for happiness.

So lets take up a scenario, of an upsetting situation, where your are pranked purposely by people around you. You tend to fall out of the frame of keep calm, you respond back either by anger, aggression or frustration. Your actions have a huge emotional drain on you and you are left with mental trauma and heavy head. And bingo here you are all, that you need to have an unproductive day and an unsuccessful career. Those are depression and trauma, which you have choose to pull out from the environmental prank.

If you behave differently, such as smile or ignore and let go of the prank/ politics. Keeping in focus your abilities and keep calm and carry on. This way you would not only end up being happy and stable also more productive.

I have devised a formula to demonstrate the keep calm and save millions

1 Negative Stimuli keep calm, let go

= 5 Hours of stable and happy mind
= 5 Hours of productivity

Note: 1 Hour pay rate = £8/hour (UK
Standard rate)

1 Hour productivity
= More satisfied clients per hour
= Greater business growth per Hour
= Greater chances of salary increase and recognition, higher bonus received.

All adds up to the annual outcome.

Keep calm, saved you from all the irrelevant losses and expenses that could have taken place due to lack of positive approach, which could include amounts spent on buying more
Coffee,
Cigarettes,
Office supplies,
Electricity bills( working long hours), Transportation cost ( taking a taxi back home)
And you loose chances of salary hike recognition and bonus.

This stands true even if you are self employed, you incur more expenses and loose all your valuable clients in just a blink of an eye.

5 Hours of efficient output = 8*5 = £40 investment each day.

Stay positive and carry on….

Trap of Poverty implanted by bed time stories

Money is bad

We must have heard that the most important ingredient required for winning is the attitude. Attitudes, behaviors and character are created by various sources.
All aspects of our life are governed by the attitudes we have towards our environment. If we tend to have a negative attitude, the blessings in life eventually fade away.
Money is a very important part of our surroundings and our negative attitudes as fear, detachment, or thinking it of evil all gradually lead to money vanishing from our lives.

“Financial Freedom is a Mental, Emotional and an Educational process” – Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad)

I would today like to outline the bad attitudes and negative behavior towards money and identify and learn how they are seeded in my personality.

Attitudes and behaviors are cultivated through various inputs from our surroundings.

1. Parents
2. Social system
3. Culture
4. Religion

Here, I would pick “CULTURE” and highlight how negative attitudes and behaviors are created by cultures.

Cultural background is imparted from one generation mostly through the means of storytelling. Bed time stories and moral stories learnt at school, are a rich source of culture.

Let’s take a look 3 stories we tell our children relating to money and the underlying beliefs these stories form in relations to money and values created.

1) The woodcutter and 3 axes:

This story starts with a background explaining, a poor honest woodcutter ( note: honestly and poverty are linked) looses his only, iron axe in the river mistakenly and refuses to accept the golden axe, the sliver axe and accepts his the iron axe.
This story, sadly underlines honesty leading to a lifestyle, where he continue to be poor.
This story lacks the imagination how a poor person was an opportunist, who availed a golden opportunity or a silver opportunity for a good life keeping in tact his honestly. Whereas the woodcutter chooses, to turn down the golden and silver chances and decides to live in his miser comfort zone.
These are character barriers which the above story narrates and implants blind and pessimist character in the audience towards golden opportunities in life.

2. A greedy merchant gets rid of his bloom of turning everything he touched turn into gold.

The background of this story narrates, a rich miser and selfish merchant ( linking “riches” with negative character being “selfish”) pleases the Goddess of wealth and receives a boom of turning any object he touch, should turn into gold.
On being blessed, by such a boom he becomes over joyed initially but his blessings soon turns into a curse when he is unable to eat or drink anything because his food turns into gold as soon as he touches it, and he starves, he also mistakenly touches his daughter who turns into gold. And finally he regrets and concluded that money is no good in life and gets rid of his boom.
Again, this story is weak, and has a negatively impacting attitude towards money and riches.
The story portrays an imagination that being financially strong translates to bad health and disputed family life. Also creates a mental barrier that those who work hard with dedication and become capable to turn all that they touch into gold will lead to unhappiness in all aspects of life.
This story lacks how the merchant coped with his boom to achieve greater prosperity for self and society, keeping up his health and family happy.
Here there is more a mental destruction, than enhancement.

I would like to narrate a story that contrasts with the above negative beliefs.

3. Story of wit and cleverness of Tenali Raman.

Tenali is described as a very clever and learned person. At the beginning of his successful career he was guided by his Guru ( mentor), to worship the Goddess of wealth to give him directions. He followed the advice and undertook a very diligent worship and was successful in pleasing the Goddess. She appeared and brought along 2 bowls to choose from. One a golden bowl containing milk, which will bless him with riches but he will not have any intellect. On the other hand the sliver bowl containing curd, which will bless him in being a learned person but being poor all his life. Along, with a condition to, choose and eat the contents of only one bowl. And since Tenali Raman was a clever person he mixes the contents of sliver bowl into the golden bowl and eats from the golden bowl. Ensuring he is blessed with riches and intellect both. And thereby fulfills the condition of eating from only one bowl.
This story is a true example of using cleverness to have a financial abundant life along with great intelligence.
